In my 40 years of volunteering and public service, I have always put the people in my community first. That is not just a selfie post or a slogan for me, it is a sincere promise delivered every day.

My first priority continues to be low taxes, to respect your tax dollars while being focused on fiscal responsibility, core services and positive changes.
I believe that you will make better decisions about your personal lives than any government will. I have proven that improving infrastructure is my priority over social engineering. I delivered over $300 million in quality infrastructure projects that make a difference in your daily lives and can improve the value of your homes. We renew parks and streets across the Ward annually.

Since I was first elected to represent my community, I promised that my first priority would be to always respect you as a taxpayer and only support tax increases at or below inflation. That will remain my guiding principle in decision making as it provides accountability and results for you.
People in Kanata South and across the city are concerned about taxes and delivery of their basic services and that is where I focus my attention. I promise to continue to focus on fiscal responsibility, core services and positive changes for Kanata South.

Since my first election, I promised that if you voted for me, I would ensure that improving infrastructure would be my priority over social engineering. I still believe that you can make better decisions about your personal lives than any government will. I have delivered over $300 million in quality infrastructure projects that make a difference in your daily lives, improve the value of your homes, established a program to renew different parks every year and together, we have made Kanata South one of the most popular places to call home for families.

My work with the businesses and home builders of our community has resulted in many unique features in our amazing parks, more services providers and a much higher level of employment closer to home. Each community, whether you are in Bridlewood, Monahan, Trailwest, Bridlewood Trails, Glen Cairn and Katimavik have all benefitted from my involvement in projects Making Kanata South a great place to call Kanata South home.

We live in one of the safest communities in the city. That statement is supported by the police reporting and bylaw statistics. We have more Neighbourhood Watch groups than most other Wards and we have an active partnership with Crimestoppers that has helped deliver this result. We were the first Ward to invest heavily in traffic calming measures which lead to the now city wide program and measurable results for you. We have redesigned streets to include calming measures like roundabouts and continue every year to add more temporary and permanent measures.

We, as a city, are transitioning public transit to an integrated bus and rail system. This takes years to complete and every community has experienced the pain of the transition. Last fall, we fell short on the number of buses to meet the demand of the scheduled trips. This was due to a delay in receiving the new E-buses the city ordered as part of the transition to green service. Action has been taken and more buses have been added so that demand can be met.
I also do not support increasing your taxes significantly to pay for free transit.
Work continues on the LRT with plans advancing to provide service to Kanata Stittsville. Once in service, bus routes will be made shorter and become a feeder to the LRT stations and transit hubs. This will provide better transit options and encourage more people to consider it as an option. It would be misleading to tell you that Councillors can create new bus routes and buy new buses just for Kanata South. The focus remains that the system needs to be stable and reliable first.
